My first full original piece of art since returning. The Reddit mascot Snoo recently turned 20(!) and there was a competition running over on Reddit. I missed the deadline, but decided to follow through anyway.

I really wanted to capture a warm, loving feeling with this image so decided to stick with colour pencil and lots of warm colours.

Well hi, everyone.

I wasn’t planning on being away for as long as I have, and the last few months have flown by.
Many of you know my mum was undergoing complex surgery for a heart problem, and unfortunately we had to say goodbye to her a few weeks post-surgery. I’ve been taking the time since to look after Papa Gem and myself, as well as juggle the (nearly finished) renovations on my home - it’s been wild, and as you can imagine I’m absolutely heartbroken and a bit out of sorts.

I’m not quite ready to throw myself back in to the Cave and arting just yet, but I am slowly regaining my want to paint and draw. I will be making a gradual return to social media, the Stash Shop and Youtube from the start of July, and I’ll keep you all updated on what to expect as I go along.

I have missed arting and you all, and I’m at the stage of looking forward to looking forward.
